Job Summary:

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) is the number one provider of Metrology software worldwide with leading brands including eMMA, HxGN Robotic Automation, Inspire, Nexus, PC-DMIS, QUINDOS, Q-DAS, SpatialAnalyzer, and VGSTUDIO MAX. Our Metrology Software portfolio supports our leading position in the domain of discrete manufacturing.

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ C# .NET WPF Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in modern software application development, as well as a solid foundation in math and physics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Application and Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and maintain algorithms, applications, and libraries using C++, C#, and the .NET framework.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with team members (product owner, tester) on development and support tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams to define, design, and ship new features, as well as support activities.
  3. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices in software development.
  4. Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and compatibility (backward and forward).
  5. Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit tests and debug applications to ensure performance and reliability.
  6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed code and systems.
  7. Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues and bugs.
  8. Work Environment: Remote or at one of Hexagons worldwide offices, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or comparable experience.
  • Experience: Proven 5+ years as a C++, C# .NET Developer.
  • WPF Expertise: Experience with WPF development, including MVVM pattern and creating intuitive user interfaces, is a plus.
  • Frontend Skills: Experience with UI/UX design tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Version Control: Experience with systems like Git.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Geometry & Math: Strong background in geometric computations and algorithms.
  • Behavior: Strong communication and teamwork skills; fluency in English.
  • Hardware Experience: Experience with machine interfacing and sensor integration; specific hardware experience will be supported and acquired with the team in the lab.
