We're growing rapidly and are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Warehousing Specialist to join our team. In addition to Warehousing, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, database migration, and management. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining our enterprise-level data warehouse infrastructure to enhance availability, reliability, and overall performance of our data systems
This position is located in Newport News, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions including ETL processes, data models, and data integration workflows
Optimize Data warehouse performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques
Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to discover and validate requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
Monitor security, integrity, availability metrics to maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Develop and maintain documentation for data warehouse infrastructure, processes, and workflows
Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse issues, providing timely resolution
Extend operational data store/data lake connections for data utilized by Business Intelligence queries and in support of JCIDS requirements engineering
Continuously improve data warehouse processes and infrastructure to enhance efficiency and scalability
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and Active DoD Secret Clearance required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Data warehousing technologies on-premises and in the cloud (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks)
Minimum of 5 years of experience with ETL, SQL, UNIX/Linux, Big Data distributed systems, various programming languages like Java and Python, orchestration tools and processes or other directly related experience.
Proven project-based experience as a Data Warehouse Specialist or Data Engineer
Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, and Talend
Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles
Working knowledge of data integration tools and techniques
Confidence communicating both verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical staff.
Ability to work individually and in a team-oriented environment
Ability to adapt to changing technology and priorities.
Able to work independently, handle multiple concurrent projects, with an ability to prioritize and lead projects effectively.
IAT II certification (e.g. Security+, Cloud+)
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience working with Lakehouse Architectures
Experience with configuration management and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
Ability to work within an Agile environment.
Experience working within Hybrid cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS)
Experience with DevSecOps principles and DoD policies related to the topic

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00.
