Job Description
We are a small, yet fast-growing local company looking for motivated individuals who are driven towards success within the construction industry as assistant controller/accountant. Candidates for this position ideally will be skilled in QuickBooks, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and managing financial aspects of construction projects. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can multitask, have strong computer and organizational skills and are detail oriented this might be the position for you!
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports including balance sheets and profit and loss reports for construction projects.
· Maintain detailed job cost spreadsheets
· Run payroll reports and submit certified payroll
· Oversee accounts payable and receivable related to different contracts
· Support project manager/supervisor with financial oversight of contracts and construction related costs
· Assist with monthly and year end processes
· Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance projects as assigned by management
· Miscellaneous related duties and projects assigned by management ****
· Experience with construction and subcontracting is a plus, however not required
Job Requirements
· Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience
· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
· CPA license is preferred, but not required
· Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
· Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
· Monday to Friday – part time – flexible schedule- potential for full time
